The Lives of Ours

When I was watching the film THE LIVES OF OTHERS, I felt a little bit sadness. This film is talking about East Germany, one of the socialism countries in the world. The artists are under the observation of security officers. They lost the freedom of writing, directing or acting, they have to show their faith to their country to avoid spending their life in jails. And when they step out from the security office and get freedom, someone whom they sold out will lost his freedom and step in.
This film is so peaceful, there is no violence,  no fighting, even no dirty words. The security offices are calm and elegant, even when they search  the suspects' dormitory or watch them dying. But I can feel the sad and fearing environment spreading from the movie screen.
It is said that there was a family escaped to West Germany by a fire balloon to get freedom. But most of the escapee were failed.
Well, the officers in my country always talk about COMPLETELY FREEDOM and responsibility when they face any questions about freedom. And I just read a news from New York Times. What can I say? I felt a little bit sadness, when I was watching the film THE LIVES OF OTHERS. Because I was thinking about the lives of ours.
